Well, what can I say about Luxembourg? I had neglected this little country for so
long. I mean it’s like the size of a
large city back in the States. I really
didn’t expect to find much here. In all
honesty, I just wanted to add the name to my list of countries visited. So I included Luxembourg
as a stop during a weekend trip to Belgium. Man, was this ever a weekend to
remember. See the Brussels
Belgium
Trip for the gory details.
As for Luxembourg, it
turned out to be my favorite stop for the weekend. I took the first Luxembourg Exit, which was labeled
Industrial Centre. As it turns out
there’s plenty of beautiful buildings to see here along with a couple of unique
steel sculptures and one fine shopping mall.
Yes I said shopping mall. You
don’t see to many of those over here. And this one was stuffed full of designer
clothing shops, a grocery store, some pubs and café’s and last but not least a
real seafood restaurant. I mean one with
glass cases loaded with fresh seafood and aquariums full of live lobster and
crabs.
I think the photos pretty much
speak for themselves. Luxembourg is a
nice place. And being but an hour’s
drive away (via the Corvette) it’s a place you can frequent even if you don’t
have a full day off to travel.
Enjoy! ;-)
